The next morning Karel and Adriana had arranged for a buffet breakfast to be served to their guests at the U Kubinu Hotel. As usual the service, food, and espresso, (and even pivo!), were excellent.


































After spending the night with three women, I was ready for a hearty breakfast, and came downstairs to an informal gathering on the outside patio of U Kubinu.

















A lot of the guests had bunked in the former women’s hospital, dating from 1692, which was behind the hotel. Apparently they were serenaded through the night by someone who's very loud snoring managed to keep everyone from sleeping....

I don't think they were very impressed.










































































While many of the guests were downstairs socializing, the kids and and their moms, (and a couple of brave women), were upstairs enjoying the pool and a large bottle of champagne. In fact, the adults were enjoying the pool so much that the children had to make do with the small footbath leading to the pool....

Just before everyone was to say goodbye, our hosts arranged one last meal - a great lunch - once again served on the patio.
I think we were all sorry to leave, but happy that Adriana and Karel's celebration had been such a great success!

After walking back to his father's house, Papa Karel took a well-earned nap, while baby Sara watched over him...
